Veterinarian
Kelsey Stover, DVM, CVA, CFV is a native of Rowan County where she attended East Rowan High School. She went to Western Carolina University where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology with Chemistry and Music Minors. She studied Veterinary Medicine at NC State’s College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2017 with a focus of Small Animal Medicine with an Exotics Emphasis. Her professional interests include companion animal medicine with special interests in feline medicine and rehabilitation therapy. For feline medicine, she spearheaded the program for Lazy 5 Vets to become a Cat Friendly certified practice through the American Association of Feline Practitioners, and has completed their Cat Friendly Veterinarian (CFV) program. In regards to rehabilitation, Dr. Stover is a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist (CVA) and has completed her acupuncture certification requirements through Chi University in Florida, and she is currently pursuing her Certified Companion Animal Therapist (CCAT) certification through NC State. In her spare time, Dr. Stover enjoys playing the fiddle and learning bluegrass music with her husband Cory, rock climbing, traveling to new cities/countries, reading, and hanging out with her two dogs Ginny and Dobby, and two cats Raven and Hedwig.
