REOPENING UPDATE -
To Our Valued Clients:
We were happy to hear from the CDC and Governor Cooper that the mask mandate has been largely lifted and that those of us who are fully vaccinated should be safe both indoors and outdoors without them.
Beginning June 1st, clients have the option to remain curbside if you feel it is more convenient or safer, but if you would rather accompany your furry friend, up to 2 family members without elevated temperatures or symptoms of Covid 19 can enter our hospital FOR EXAMINATION APPOINTMENTS. In this transition period, you will be escorted directly to an exam room and requested to wear a mask when in a room with our team members. We do anticipate that assistant visits and surgical check-ins will remain curbside a bit longer and will update you as plans change.
Thank you for your patience with us as we work to continue doing what we have done for the past year- provide your pets with the excellent care they deserve while doing everything we can to protect our team so we can remain open to serve when you need us.
MEDICATION REFILLS AND PICK-UP:
- Please e-mail us at [email protected] (preferred) or text us at 704-821-7040 first to give us time to get your medication together.
- Call us from your car when you arrive.
- A customer service representative will take your payment either by phone or send someone out to the parking lot with a sanitized payment device.
- A team member will deliver your medication to your car.
IF YOU DON'T HAVE A CELL PHONE:
- Please let a customer service representative know this when you schedule your appointment.
- We will give you alternate instructions for your pet’s appointment.
IMPORTANT HEALTH NOTE: If you have a fever, cough, lethargy, or have reason to believe you might be sick with ANY condition, please avoid bringing your pet in. If we have seen your pet within a year, we may be able to do a telemedicine consultation over the phone. Regular consultation fees do apply for these appointments. Please inquire at [email protected] or by calling 704-821-7040.
We are so very sorry to inconvenience anyone. Our primary goal is to stay healthy, keep others around us healthy, and continue to provide service throughout the duration of this pandemic.
Cleaning and social distancing procedures:
We are working hard to reduce the risk to everyone who walks through our doors by sanitizing and cleaning frequently as well as avoiding unnecessary contact.
We are continuing to do this by:
- Asking any staff members who feel ill or have known or suspected exposure to COVID19 to avoid coming into work.
- Mailing medications or flea/tick and heartworm preventives if you are ill or prefer to not come in.
- Not shaking hands or having contact with clients or other employees.
- Offering curb-side check-in appointments.
- Offering phone consultations/telemedicine for pets that have had an examination by one of our veterinarians within the last year (standard fees apply)
- Observing social distancing standards with clients
As always, we strive to provide high quality, compassionate care. We need your help to stay healthy enough to do that!
Thank you for your help and understanding and don’t hesitate to let us know how we can help you and your furry family members.
Please stay healthy and remember that we will always do everything that we can to be here for your pets!
