Below is a glimpse of what each camp session will include...
Elementary / Middle : Hosted by Dr. Cierra Tabony or Rachel T, Veterinary Assistant
- Learn about and practice safe interaction with dogs and cats
- Have hands-on experience with animal guests
- Receive a behind the scenes tour of Vet-REC Rehabilitation Clinic or Indian Trail Animal Hospital
- Examine alternative careers with dogs including pet therapy and pet daycare and boarding
- Determining which common foods and products are toxic to your pets
- Understanding how to communicate with dogs by learning their body language
- Learning about the importance of dentistry in pets
- Practicing with common veterinary tools
- Making a fun cat toy (+/-)

Middle School and High School: Hosted by Dr. Cierra Tabony
-Learn about and practice safe interaction with dogs and cats
- Animal careers discussion
- First aid for pets activities

- Solve the Mystery case with microscope work

Our 2024 Camp Director - Dr. Cierra Tabony:
Our camp director is the founder of Vet Camp and owner of Indian Trail Animal Hospital and Vet-REC: Veterinary Rehabilitation and Exercise Clinic. She has 20 years experience in veterinary medicine, over 10 years experience with vet camp and two kids - ages 13 and 15. She enjoys speaking at career fairs and school groups, getting the next generation excited about animal careers and animal care!
Notes for Parents
- Please provide a labeled water bottle at drop off.
- A snack will be provided each camp day. If your child has food allergies, please send alternate items for their snack.
- Please note that your charge will appear as ‘C. Tabony Veterinary Relief Services, Inc.’
Refund policy
Camp space is in high demand and all registrations are final. Registration can be applied towards a future camp if your child has to withdraw before the start of camp or isn’t able to attend.
